Gateway Estate
Bozeman, MT
This custom Gallatin Gateway project, built by Montana Build Group and designed by Brett Potter of Yellowstone Architects, reflects a shared focus on refined architecture, livability, and thoughtful site integration. The result is a carefully composed estate that balances clean, modern design with the warmth and character of a true Montana retreat. The property is comprised of a nearly 5,000 sq. ft., 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath main residence, a generously sized 2,417 sq. ft. guest house, and a 1,200± sq. ft. barn, forming a cohesive compound that supports both everyday living and long-term functionality. Each structure was intentionally placed to complement the land while maintaining architectural continuity across the site.
The main home features expansive living spaces filled with natural light, framed by carefully positioned windows that capture sweeping mountain and valley views. No detail was overlooked—from custom cabinetry and wood flooring to the statement fireplace and hand-crafted wood beams throughout the living spaces. A restrained material palette and purposeful layouts create interiors that feel both elevated and inviting, allowing the home to adapt seamlessly to daily life while remaining visually striking.
The guest house offers a private and well-appointed retreat, designed with a modern aesthetic softened by alpine charm. Echoing the craftsmanship and design language of the main residence, its thoughtful layout provides flexibility for hosting, extended stays, or workspace needs, while preserving privacy and connection to the overall property.Completing the estate, the barn adds practical versatility for storage, recreation, or hobbies, all while maintaining architectural harmony with the residential structures
Intentionally designed to respond to the land and capture the views of Gallatin Gateway, this project reflects Montana Build Group’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful execution, resulting in a home that is both architecturally considered and deeply rooted in its Montana setting
